Morning & Evening Devotions
MORNING
THEIR WAYS:
Don’t envy violent people or copy their ways. (NLT) ( Proverbs 3:31 )
Have you ever had someone blow up at you for small reasons? Be cautious not to model after this behavior. Believe it or not, over time violence and short tempers begin to seep into our ways. We then carry forward this type of behavior even when we know it is unacceptable. Try to limit the influence of violence in your life.
EVENING
YOUR HEART:
A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. (NLT) ( Luke 6:45 )
Why do we disconnect our hearts from our mouths? In actuality, the words we say are a reflection of our heart. If your mind focuses on picky details, comparisons and judgments then, of course, your mouth will pour out words of criticism. But if you revere someone with honor and reverence then naturally, words of respect will follow. Try monitoring your words to get a glimpse into your heart.
The day continued in my grandma’s bathroom, we got set back a day because of having to repaint the walls a different color. So far its looking great! I will post about it when it is all finished!
As always, have a blessed night!
Hi, I began reading your blogs recently because I’m doing a similar thing. They inspire me to think about life in a more positive and more better way! This one especially catches my attention… The way Proverbs says not to envy violence got me thinking about certain things, and the Good Heart is always nice to have. Thank you for doing these types of blogs, keep up the good work!
