Morning & Evening Devotions
MORNING
YOUR WORRIES
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. (NLT) ( 1 Peter 5:7 )
Pride can be a dangerous attribute because it holds you back from reaching out for help and admitting you need Him. God loves you and wants the best for you but He wants you to invite Him in by sharing what’s on your mind. Are you having a hard time finding work, feeling the burden of caregiving for a loved one, or walking through a rough patch with your spouse? God wants you to put aside your pride and come to Him in prayer.
EVENING
LIKE DEW
Let my teaching fall on you like rain; let my speech settle like dew. Let my words fall like rain on tender grass, like gentle showers on young plants. (NLT) ( Deuteronomy 32:2 )
When dew comes, it permeates everything and there’s nothing it doesn’t touch. Wouldn’t it be neat if we allow God’s words to do the same in our lives? If we allowed it to permeate all areas of our lives, where would you see God working in you? Maybe it’s facing your fear of failure, reconnecting with your estranged brother, or treating your girlfriend with respect. In any case, invite God to shower you with His teachings and be courageous enough to take them to heart and make a change.
Just an ordinary day today like most. Work, joking around with father and sister at work, getting upset with father at work, short lunch break, irritation from me just because and I usually don’t know why. That’s mainly how my day goes day by day everyday. Now I’m sitting here at 10pm watching one of my new fav TV shows Empire and updating my blog.
As always, Have a Blessed day!
